Through studying the ecosystems and animalia surrounding us, I aspire to capture the attention between the two impulses that I have: reverence and fear.
I think about how the profligate human toll ruins the ability to co-exist amidst this fragile complexity. I am in awe of the scale of mass abuse of both plant and animal life worldwide.
Around us exquisite patterns, infinite palettes, and tiny architectural masterpieces glimmer in stark contrast to mass consumption, over-population, factory farming and pollution.
By referencing the complex majesty of nature in my paintings and sculpture, I aim to draw attention to the abused serving as a reminder for people to respect nature and all of the beings that inhabit it.
